Handwashing
We talked about and then wrote out a list of instructions to explain how to wash your hands correctly. We then created a video using iMovie to give those instructions to someone who does not know how to wash their hands.
Using Adobe Express we created our own videos explaining when you should wash your hands.
Body Quiz
One of our challenges in the enhanced provision was to use a Chromebook to research and answer some quiz questions. When we had completed the challenge we marked them to see if we found the right answers.
Beth Sy'n Bod?
We practised the sentence pattern mae _____ dost a fi. In pairs we wrote a script for a visit to the doctor and then filmed them.
Senses
Once we had explored our sense of sound by going on a sound walk around school, we used what we heard to write our own version of the poem The Sound Collector by Roger McGough.
We then explored our sense of sight by completing a colour walk around school, where we created a tally chart of the colours we saw. Using this information we wrote our own version of the poem The Colour Collector by Roger McGough.
Seren a Sbarc
Seren a Sbarc's challenge was to create a picnic for them. The children were given the choice to draw or use the computer to present their information. Some chose to use paper, whilst others chose to use Adobe Express to create a video or a poster.
George's Marvellous Medicine
Our book this topic led to lots of discussion about the characters and their actions. We wrote book reviews once we had read the story.
Oes Anifael Anwes Gyda Ti?
After realising how many children had said that their pet made them happy we decided to survey the class and see who had what pets, and which type of animal was the most popular. We presented our information in a bar chart.
Circuits
After taking part in circuits in PE we designed our own. We had to make sure that each station included a number or time for each activity. We then created our circuits and took turns completing them.
Money
During our Enterprise afternoon the children were in charge of the shop. They set the prices for their products and they were responsible to handling the money and giving change.
