Monster Phonics Launch Day
To launch our new phonics and spelling scheme we held a Monster Phonics Launch Day, where each class dressed up as a character from Monster Phonics Land. Throughout the day we took part in lots of phonic activities. Dosbarth Pinc were Brown Owl, and Dosbarth Melyn were lucky enough to choose what character they were.

To celebrate VE Day we discussed what VE Day is and why it is in an important day. We talked about how people celebrated VE Day when it happened, and to celebrate it ourselves we held a whole school VE Day picnic on the field.

Summer Disco
We had an amazing time at the PTA's summer disco! We danced our legs off and boogied along to some top hits!
That's not fair!
We looked at what fair means, and what is fair / unfair. We were able to talk about lots of real life examples, and best of all, we were able to give lots of ideas on how to make something fair, and what to do if we think something is unfair.
Dream Big Day
To celebrate Dream Big Day we dressed as what we wanted to be when we grow up. We had great fun guessing what each person wanted to be, and it was really lovely to hear their reasons for why they wanted to be that when they grew up.
Dream Big Day 2025.MOVCollaborative Learning
Year 3 made their own maths board games and wanted to play them with year 1 and 2. Each group paired up and played their game. Year 3 were excellent at explaining their games, and Year 1 and 2 were amazing playing the games. All children loved it, it was great to see so much maths learning going on.
Parc Play
Our summer trip was to Parc Play with reception, year 1 and year 2. We had great fun exploring the equipment, sharing, taking turns, climbing, jumping, swinging and spinning. "It was the best day ever!"
