To raise awareness on World Mental Health Day everyone in our school was invited to wear something yellow. Our whole school focus was kindness. We talked about what mental health is, how we can improve our own mental health and how we can help our friends improve their mental health. We created kindness bracelets where we wrote something kind on a bracelet and gave it to a friend.
Children In Need
For this year's Children In Need we wore something spotty/Pudsey/colourful. We talked about the different ways that we can help people, and what the money raised for Children In Need is used for. We also came up with different ideas of how we could raise money in the future.

As part of Anti-Bullying Week we took part in Odd Socks Day, where we wore odd socks to school to represent that everyone is different but equal. We talked about what bullying is and role played different scenarios to identify if something was bullying, and what we could do about it.
“Today, we’re wearing odd socks to celebrate our differences and promote kindness and respect.”

The Bumbles of Honeywood Workshop
When we were in year 1 we joined in with 2 workshops provided by 2B Enterprising, working on developing team building and communication skills. This year we completed the final workshop where we focused on problem solving and teamwork. We had to work together to decide what items the bee would need to take with him when he travelled to his new home. We had 12 items available and as a group had to choose 6. There was a lot of communicating, negotiating and problem solving going on.
