Our new topic is all about what it means to be healthy. We looked at diet and exercise, personal hygiene and wellbeing
We had a class discussion about our favourite foods and which ones were healthy and unhealthy.
The children were given a red and green hoop. Could they separate the foods into two groups?

We overlapped the hoops in the middle for the foods we can eat in moderation
Could the children remember the names of the body parts? Could they work in a team and help each other?

The children were successfully able to work in a team and help each other to name all of the external parts of the body!
For the whole month of May, our class ran the daily mile together each morning
The children had a special question to ask Mr Hughes our headteacher!
Mr Hughes said yes!
We practised different styles of dancing or aerobics each afternoon to help keep us fit and healthy!
Why do we need to wash? Why do we need to brush our hair? Why do we need to wash our clothes and clean our teeth? The children would watch and then each take part in a demonstration

We will be looking into both land and sea pollution. The children will discover the implications and ways they can help
We started a 'Save Our Seas!' campaign!
We read the book, 'Dear Earth.' We wrote letters to the Earth.
