We have been working with Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Community Safety Team. We have been involved in an Anti-Bullying project where we have looked at reducing bullying in schools. The Community Safety Team have created an anti-bullying ambassador programme for Year 4, who have been educated around bullying and how to be “anti-bullying buddies”. As part of this programme, they have created posters to display around school and written play scripts about what bullying is, what to do if someone’s being bullied and how to be kinder, etc.Â
In order to spread awareness and inspire all of our students to "Be a Buddy, Not a Bully," they have also taken the time to share them with students in the school. The Safety Team's Shaia and Ginny have expressed their admiration for the work done as well as the attitude, behaviour and conduct of our Year 4 cohort. They have been a pleasure to collaborate with, and they will now be used as a model by the authority to spread the word about anti-bullying ambassadors and how they can lessen bullying in our RCT schools.
All children were presented with a Certificate of Achievement.Â
Do you know children start thinking about what job they want when they are older when they are just 7 years old? There are over 1,000 different job types in the U.K. We asked Mr Hughes if we could host a Dream Big Day at school where all children dressed up as their future career choice. We had astronauts, designers, influencers, police officers, dancers, vets and many more!!Â
WE HAD THE MOST AMAZING TIME AT FOLLY FARM, SEEING THE ANIMALS AND PLAYING IN THE DIFFERENT ADVENTURE ZONES. WE ENJOYED THE LAND TRAIN WHICH TOOK US AROUND THE FARMYARD. WE HAD GREAT FUN ESTIMATING THE HEIGHT AND WEIGHT OF THE ANIMALS TOO.Â
