We showed our support for Velindre, in Cardiff. We donated what we could and talked about special people in our lives. So many families in the school and staff members have been affected by cancer at some point.
We celebrated World Number Day by dressing only in clothes that displayed numbers. We had great fun doing lots of numeracy activities all day!

Morning Session
We had a 'break the rules' day to support our PTA. We brought in £1 and could break as many rules as we wanted to all day long, our poor teachers!
Afternoon Session
We chose the activities and games we wanted to play
We celebrated with Welsh songs and painted our own pictures of Castell Coch. We investigated the works of Welsh artist Christopher Langley and attempted to paint using his unique style.

So we improvised!
Cwmlai's Community Champions held a book bonanza in school. We each brought in £1 and a book from home, which we were then able to swap! This raised money in order to replenish our book corners.
