We listened to the story of The Colour Monster. We talked about the different feelings and emotions and how they connected to the colour monsters.
The children matched the colour to the emotion
The sun and the clouds have an argument, the earth is left with no colour as they will not work together and be kind to one another.
The children could choose from two sets of images, one set being kind, the other unkind. After the children chose which 'kind' image they would like, for example helping someone, they could then choose from the other ingredients.
A sprinkle of sharing, a dash of patience, a warm smile, 'listening ears', and 'looking eyes'.
Cuddles, helping and sharing.
Sharing toys.
Sharing and being kind.
We had to mix the ingredients into the potion!
The potion smoldered !
Tedi Twt was sad. He spent every day and night down in our nature area alone, with no friends. He sat in the wind, rain and snow.
Could the children find a way to help him?
The children discussed the ways in which they could help Tedi Twt
We built Tedi Twt a house so he wouldn't get cold and wet. We made him dinner and sat and ate with him. Tedi Twt wasn't sad and lonely anymore!
