Four Purposes Autumn 2023 Y1
Harvest
We celebrated the Harvest festival and tasted bread from the Harvest table.
Collaboration
Year 4 Helped us to play maths games, compete puzzles and read books.
Halloween
We celebrated Halloween in school with lots of spooky activities. The children then attended their Halloween disco organised by our PTA after school.
Odd Socks Day
Children wore odd socks to school on 13th November to support Anti-Bullying Week. The children talked about the qualities of a good friend and created a class kindness heart.
Remembrance Day
We talked about the importance of Remembrance Day and discussed why we wear poppies. The children then used colour mixing to create their own poppy.
Diwali
After discussing Diwali and the Festival of Light the children follwed instructions and made their own diva lamps. The children then wrote instructions for others to follow. The children also created their own Rangoli patterns using coloured rice.
Children in Need
The children showed their support for this fantastic cause by wearing pyjamas/spots to school. The children also decorated cakes, made Pudsey badges and book marks. As a school we raised an amazing £1,010!
