Texas Praline Fudge

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup heavy cream(whipping cream)

1/2 cup white granulated sugar

1/2 cup dark brown sugar

Dash of salt

1 cup roasted pecans, chopped

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups confections sugar, sifted twice

Parchment Paper

Directions

Place the pecans on a parchment lined sheet pan. Roast them in a 350 degree oven for about 7 minutes. Remove the pecans to cool.

Prepare a 8X8 baking dish by placing parchment paper crisscrossed in the bottom of the pan, leaving some on the sides to hang over.

In a heavy saucepan heat over medium heat the butter, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.

Stirring constantly, bring the mix to boil, then reduce the heat to simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat, then stir in the vanilla and the pecans.

Stir in the confections sugar that has been sifted.

Stir until completely combined.

Pour the mixture into the parchment lined baking dish.

Place into the refrigerator for 2 hours before slicing.

After slicing store in a airtight container.
