Retro Grilled Hamburger Steak

Ingredients
For The Caramelized Onions
4 medium yellow onions, medium slice
8 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Worcestershire Sauce
For The Patty
2 pounds ground chuck
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
In a hot skillet, melt the butter and pour in the olive oil. Add the sliced onions and sprinkle the onions with salt. Toss the onions in the butter and olive oil making sure they are covered well. Cook on medium low for 5 minutes, then stir. Add the Worcestershire Sauce and stir the onions well
Continue to cook on low heat until the onions are caramelized. They will be very dark.
Remove the onions from the heat and set aside.
Place the ground chuck in a large mixing bowl and add salt, pepper, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
Divide the ground chuck into 4 equal parts then pat the parts into 4 circles.
Place two of the circles on to wax paper and then layer some of the caramelized onions onto the circles.
Top the circles with the other ground chuck circles and seal the edges.
Drizzle some of the liquid from the onions on top of the rounds.
Grill on a grill over an open flame or in a skillet.
Grill to your taste. We like ours well done (don't judge)
Garnish with the remainder of the caramelized onions.
