Cinnamon Apple Skillet

Ingredients For Cinnamon Apple Skillet

5 Gala Apple, sliced with peeling

1/2 cup or 1 stick of butter

1 cup dark brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar's, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Wash and slice the apples.

Place the apples in a large bowl and add the sugar mixture. Toss the apples with the sugar mix to make sure that every apple is covered all over.

Set the apple mix aside for 10 minutes to allow the mix to marry.

In a large black iron skillet or a heavy skillet, melt the butter on medium heat.

Add the apples and stir until the liquid is formed and the apples are starting to get tender.

Turn the heat on low and cover the apples, cook for 8 minutes.

Uncover the apples and stir, make sure they are covered with the wonderful apple syrup that has formed.

The Apples are ready to serve.
