Tex-Mex Taco Bowls

Ingredients
Serves 4
1- pound ground chuck
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups iceberg lettuce, chopped small
4 cups Roma tomatoes, chopped
4 cups Mexican Mix Cheese, shredded
4 cups cooked rice
2 large Avocados sliced
2 cups green onions, chopped
Directions
Place the ground chuck in a large hot skillet
After the meat begins to cook, then stir in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, peppers, and garlic.
Cook the meat mixture until it is lightly browned, and set aside.
Chop the lettuce, tomatoes, Avocado's and onions.
Arrange the bowls.
Start with a cup of rice in the center of the bowl, then place a cup of lettuce, 1 cup of tomatoes, 1 cup of cheese,around the rice then sprinkle the onions on top of the dish. Often times the kids and some adults will not want the onions.
Optional Toppings will include, Sour Cream, Salsa, Pico de Gallo
Optional Vegetable Additions: Black or Pinto Beans, Corn, Jalapenos and Olives.
The option's are limited only to our imagination.
