Edward Riley

Edward Riley was a music engraver and publisher in the Strand, London, was and a close friend of John Randall, the well-known Cambridge professor of music.  The Rileys appear in several letters in the Benjamin Flower-Eliza Flower Correspondence, at that time living in Gracechurch Street.  Flower noted in his Statement of the facts that Riley once told him that before he knew him there was scarcely a person of whom he had a worse opinion, because he believed Flower to be a forger, derived from comments made about Flower by the Claytons (lv).
