The Path: A Guide to Happiness

上師的加持無所不在，生活中的一切際遇都是諸佛菩薩的加持。這意味著我們決心直面生活的實況，選擇把順境逆境都看作修行的途徑。

The blessings of a teacher are omnipresent. In other words, all we experience in life is infused with the blessings of buddhas and bodhisattvas. This understanding, this trust, gives us the strength to accept every encounter in life and take everything into the path.

如果你失業了，你不會認為這是因為自己能力不夠、運氣不佳或者人際關係沒處理好，而寧願相信這是一項考驗，是上師或者諸佛菩薩想看看你是否堪受人生的大禮。你覺得在你生活中發生的一切，樁樁件件都是另有深意的。你不會真正摔跤，就算摔倒，也應該摔在蓮花或至少是棉花上。然而如果我們真正相信上師的加持無所不在，就不會在意自己會摔得多慘。哪怕山窮水盡，比周圍的人都更潦倒，也是可以接受的。事實上，這份坦然和決心，已足夠令我們的生活開闊而富足。

If you lose your job, you do not take it as your being unable, unlucky, or unskillful. Instead, you see it as a test, a special ordeal given by buddhas and bodhisattvas, to let you find out whether you are able to endure life's various turns. Everything that happens in your life has its meaning. If you do believe in the omnipresence of your teacher's blessings, you can accept whatever comes, even if you are at the end of your means. And your determination and openness are more than enough to make your life rich and free.
