35th Ave. Produce shops had large amounts of food displayed outside, including at the curb and encroaching on the laundromat storefront, making the block look like a big outdoor market. Pork/mushroom lunch special and soup from LK. Two attractive workers, both fairly slim and of average height, one rather pale and the other—named Dan, I believe—quite swarthy, in hard hats and bright yellow tee‐shirts came in to pick up an order, and I couldn’t help but say hello. I learned from a sign in the window of a recent assault on L’rich St.
I unlocked the lobby door before the friendly man waiting for the elevator could do it for me, wherefor he actually apologized. Because he was wearing his mask, I could not determine if he was the same neighbor encountered in the basement on the day my land line was repaired, 27 March.
37th Ave. As I passed, بابر was standing inside near the door of the closed DR while another worker—the lumbering E. Asian, I suspect—sat on a stack of display items. There was live outdoor music, accompanied by applause from the large number of seated customers, outside R.’s as a woman sang loudly in Spanish. R. S./جم was off duty and standing counting his money at the corner. Münster cheese, potato salad and a mixed fruit cup from FD (23:17). A loud old lady of a customer was hanging out at the register as I arrived and still doing so as I left. Former meat‐department refrigerators were gone. Cute worker who reminds me of R. S. was seen pushing a cart in the produce area and then outside as I left, ignoring me as always. Chipotle‐chicken/cheese Sandwich and a snack cake from the usual cashier with his head covered at शाह/شاه. Both ফুসকা [sic] workers were present as I passed.
