Second Ave. (2303–06). Loud motorcyclists doing wheelies as GA folk walked to 5MS but decided not to enter (in part because of the baseball bat that was a part of Er’k’s costume) but go to E’s (2303–05) instead. 1970s theme with burlesque‐like dancers on the bar. A man in a squirrel costume with a tremendous erect tail came to speak with us quite animatedly but I couldn’t understand him due to my being the one furthest from him of our party in the loud venue. We left and some of us returned to 5MS (2306) to encounter others of us who were already there (like Rich P., U’ses/Chris from Zw. and tall handsome “atheish” Christian). After a little while I realized Ty. wasn’t with us even though I thought he’d left E’s when we did but he arrived after a brief text exchange with me. (See Messenger.) I liked the theme and the music better at E’s but liked the social environment better at 5MS where there was dancing upstairs and a greater chance of meeting strangers. A not‐unattractive man came up to me excitedly and correctly identified me as a dinosaur rather than a crocodilian and insisted his friends take pictures of him with me, at least some of which include Ty. as well. After all of my party had left and I was about to leave, a friendly man not far from the main door briefly began to dance with me and led me into two spins.

A slender attractive man with facial paint complimented my mask hat in 86th St. sta.

I failed in capturing the array of costumes on the F (2307) as I exited at Roosevelt Ave. sta. The intent was to first document the two black girls siting together near me, one of whom wore red cat ears and the other red horns, then the one with the big Afro wig who was sitting near a handsome man who seemed to have smiled at me, as well as possibly the sexy man I had admired in E. 63rd St. sta., but all I got were the faces of the former without even their headwear.

מוצאי שבת.‏

There was much more of a festive, costumed Halloween atmosphere on my trip to Manhattan than at my destination. There were a group of E. Asians in Roosevelt Ave. sta. (2308–13) that included attractive young men, one of whom was dressed as a Minion. There was also a fairly large party of latinos in various costumes (ancient Egyptians, Robin Hood, murderous lumberjacks etc.), and I sat among them on the E (6444–50, 2314). Also other costumed folk.

Went in my dinosaur “costume” to visit noncostumed Gar. and שת at their place. (See SMS conversation with Gar.) They wanted to treat me to a meal to thank me for having taken care of their cat, but we ordered in Japanese food and talked and watched television rather than going out. As is often the case, we were chasing down closing times, and the food didn’t even arrive till around 22:45. The steak dish I had (inspired by Lee’s having said that he was going out for steak after DA the night before) was very good.

📆 Sorry for the short notice, but we’ve decided to call off our platform meeting tomorrow due to the thunderstorms predicted. See you in November. ⛈
