Enjoyable but somewhat overdone non‐breaded chicken cordon bleu at JI (8920–24). (See iPhone notes.) Loud rowdy black party had one particularly aggressive young man who was walking around to the counter and to different workers and loudly making unfunny asinine jokes, including badgering the cute Nepalese busboy by repeatedly insisting he’s not actually from Nepal, pronouncing it Na‐Poe so that I at first thought he was saying “You not from the Poe,” perhaps referring to the poor house. One of his friends expressed her desire that he no longer delay their leaving by saying various profanities to him. After they finally left, two of them returned to request that the workers call a car for them.
Also there was a middle‐aged man with a large professional camera and a spiral‐bound notebook in which he was taking notes in organized columns (8920–21). Bicycles in the snow (8922–24).
Stopped in the Shell food mart to find nothing I wanted, but chatted briefly with the not‐unattractive worker there.
Wooden wall (“No parking”) at 33‒17 72nd St. (8925–26).
