FD. Customers were required, in order to get the lower price, to buy two containers of the only ice cream that was on sale by the pint, so I bought sweetened yoqurt instead, along with mango slices. Bent old man who had been in front of me on line for the cashier stuck around and made a big production of saying goodbye to the staff after the cashier was finished with him and so blocked my opportunity to photograph handsome S’eed.

Bry. and lady were entering their apt. as I was speaking with R.M. in the hallway and I tried to say hello but he was busy unlocking his door. I wish I recognized faces better, as there was an attractive young man, presumably a neighbor, and very possibly one I’ve seen before, with fluffy hair, a long sweater and something of a gay stance, in the lobby waiting for the elevator as I walked out while greeting and flirting with him.

When I’m wearing comfortable shoes, my constitutional puts me in a good mood and I was pleased with many of the activities, gestures and facial expressions of many of the persons sharing the sidewalks with me. Among the things that caught my attention but I was unable to photograph were a slender, dapper, presumably gay man wearing a jacket with a multicolored hanky in the breast pocket, a smiling young woman who briefly jumped on the back of her young male companion, the volleyball game in Trav’rs Pk., a girl doing cartwheels and a pack of six attractive young men leisurely rolling past me on their bicycles.

34th Ave. (7092–97). I photographed the truck that said “Meals made from scratch” because I was playing with an idea of the Devil cooking meals that are thus made by (Old) Scratch.
