Thanksgiving.
My first Thanksgiving in a number of years when no one offered to feed me. I could have attended a meal at a local gay stranger’s home that had been published on Facebook as a public event (now since removed or changed to be private), but I wound up not following through. I had frozen homestyle turkey breast with stuffing and vegetables, sweet potato pie, fish filets and turkey hot dogs.
Returning from the supermarket with an apple pie, I saw a car traveling westward down 37th Avenue pass 72nd Street with a handsome twenty‐something South Asian man with most of his torso sticking out of the sun roof and his hair flowing in the wind. I won’t say I wasn’t attracted.
