Rolled the television set on my hand truck (configured as a flatbed trolley) out of my apartment, into the elevator, through the basement, past the loud screeching sound (presumably the boiler) that I’d been hearing all day, and out of the building with the intent of rolling it to the thrift shop on 61st St. for donation. Its own weight was not enough to secure it and so it was shifting on the trolley, and the surprisingly bumpy pavement loosened the screws so much that the ledge was falling off and I lost two of the four brand‐new nuts. Without even getting fully past the building next door, I had to turn around and bring it back upstairs.
