Cor. looked sexy coming downstairs as I left my apt. for my constitutional. 35th Ave., 73rd St. (7103–06), 34th Ave. (7107–15), 82nd St. (7116–32), 37th Ave. (7133–50), 72nd St. (7151–54).
I walked south on 82nd St. to see if the phonograph‐record vendor would be at 37th Ave. and 81st St., and he was. I met him and his name is Carlos. He is there Thurs.–Sun., 11:00–19:00, even through the winter. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to get rid of books and audio.
Brief chat with Cor. in the lobby as I returned. He asked me about weekend plans.
GA DA at EG (7155–57). Met slender Joe* from NJ in the black shirt, older openly gay David* in the plaid shirt.
I arrived late, just as Anna was ranting about trans women in the changing room, and Lee turned to me and a few others to express his exasperation but clearly loudly enough that others, including the subject, could hear. Angus S. was surprised when I told him there had been a stand‐in Angus (who had climbed over the table) at the prior event and only at that event.
We walked to Long Hall during which time I spoke much with Rich P. I ordered nothing at LH and there was much talk about movies. As he got a bit more intoxicated, David seemed to want to impress us by offering us the wild adventure of bringing us someday to a gay bar, apparently not knowing that I’m gay, and Mitch responded by saying he had regularly visited a gay bar with Felix and others.
Rode the train into Queens with Angus (by that time Saturday morning).
Commentary
– Deprecating the drink in its own name, the word ʻaraq meant ‘perspiration’, so this label suggests ‘horse sweat’. (00:01)
