On the 12th, the cashier at F’town gave me my change without a receipt, something I did not find noteworthy until the 13th when Nasrin, the cashier at FD, did just the opposite, giving me my receipt without my fourteen dollars change. She was apologetic and blamed her workday’s drawing to a close. The worker I saw mopping is probably the same tall worker I saw on 31 July. There were no male customers of note until I saw the adorable man on line behind me whom I watched leave the supermarket with his groceries, cross 37th Ave. and enter Ricky’s.

I had ordered toyuq şiş from my favorite worker at the cart on 37th Ave. and 74th St. before going to the supermarket, but it seems he started preparing it only after I returned, and then he thanked me for waiting. Handsome young man wearing shorts and showing off butt in the TD vestibule (7098–7102). I was unsuccessful in capturing his or his equally attractive friend’s face.

Commentary

– In a few months time, my father too will be ten years dead, and I didn’t get along at all with him. He was very emotionally troubled and had such serious anger‐management issues that I was glad Mountain Jews no longer carry sabers. His lingering for years with Alzheimer’s took him away from my mother but didn’t allow her to grieve and so I was actually happy when he finally died and that the emotional burden would finally be lifted.
