• (on my own post in the Queens Ethical Humanist Society group) – We’re alive, but I wouldn’t exactly say we’re well. In what manner should we check with AEU? Our general information is the same, and we try to document any activities that are out of the ordinary on our Web site. …

– Tom was of the belief that the annual report was a financial report prepared by our treasurer and that we have too little income to warrant one. If it is something else, we need some guidance in creating it. Is it a simple list of our activities? Do we include our platform topics? Is there a handbook online that explains the responsibilities of a society in clear language? (EHSQ is the only Ethical society with which I’ve had any involvement, so I’m unfamiliar with much of the protocol.) ¶As for the annual AEU assemblies, Tom would have to be the one to attend, so I’ll try to push him to attend the next. I assume they are promoted on the AEU Web site.

– I see the next annual assembly will be in St. Louis, which may not be easy for us. ()

• (on American Ethical Union’s text post) – Our platform meetings are just informal discussions because the number of participants has seriously dwindled, but we hope to soon start announcing predetermined topics. We currently have no other events planned, but we do walk in a number of local parades every year: St. Pat’s for All, Queens LGBT Pride, and the Jackson Heights Halloween parade.
