72nd St. My camera ran out of power as I attempted to zoom in on a man’s posterior (1221), and so then I was unable to photograph neither the older man carrying his laundry on his head that reminded me of what I might see in Morocco nor the small patriotic US flag duct‐taped to the side of a building.

Northern Blvd. Another chef salad at JI. {Ditto last time except 22:00.} The place was surprisingly busy for a weekday morning and I was seated at the counter. There was an attractive man using his laptop computer and mobile telephone at the table to my right. The pinwheels seemed a little rushed and ragged, particularly the Cheddar cheese and turkey, but I didn’t mind.

73rd St. Young man at lamppost (1222–26).

37th Ave. Cashew pieces and dark chocolate from DR, not at all good choices; the dark chocolate was not dark enough but was at a deep discount (more than half off), and the cashew pieces are what I’m fairly certain made me so sick the next few days. Hand‐truck worker (1227). Attractive gay man in tank top (1228–30). QPH to pay NYBD rent, for the first time with Claude’s checks, again seeing many attractive men that blend into one another over time. As I was about to leave, the worker (Ernesto?) who had helped me called me back, and visions of a scolding for NYBD having left the room messy or for our possessions taking up too much space in the storage closet entered my mind, but instead he encouraged us to put our promotional literature on the bulletin board because people had apparently asked for information about us. Parasol couple (1231).

Had a rather long conversation with R’sheda in front of my building and then encountered Carl W. leaving the elevator as I entered the building.
