3 July 2017, Monday

Because I saw no friends and took no photos, I considered this an uneventful visit to WC and 🔑F, but in retrospect, some notable things did occur.

34th Ave. Three or four attractive young men riding bicycles on the sidewalk stopped doing so as I approached and passed them in the opposite direction.

Northern Blvd. I saw a young woman in a pretty dress leaning into a garbage can, presumably vomiting therein. Denny’s was open but seemed as I passed to have no customers, only bored employees. The cashier/cook at WC would not take any order until the prior one had been fully prepared and served. She also gave me an unreasonably large number of honey mustard sauce packets for my six chicken rings. There was a new soft‐drink dispenser, as well as a new napkin dispenser that prevented my taking the tremendous number of napkins I’ve taken in the past. I don’t remember which one it was (terrific, sensational, wonderful, fabulous, excellent etc.), but cashier Marceya at 🔑F used the same strongly positive word when I told her I’d brought my own shopping bag as when I handed her a quarter as partial payment for the red, white and blue novelty Independence Day snack cakes. A young man was crossing the boulevard with comically long steps to amuse his companions.
