Shwitweyb! (Tw)
😴 I dreamed I was at a party, possibly at my own home as it resembled my old De Kruif Place apartment, and was irked that my friends, one of whom was based on Tiffany C., were misusing a supposed German or Yiddish gourmet term, something like Schwitweib, which may have referred to a fine wine or cut of steak. They were dismissively pronouncing it Shwitweyb with the w’s pronounced as w’s rather than like v’s. Tiffany claimed it was an exclamation used when about to indulge in a big cheap meal, used, although this part I just surmised, similarly to exclamations like Gangway!, Kamikaze!, Gerónimo! etc. The two of them then both shouted “Shwitweyb!” and I was annoyed enough to walk away to a room where I had forgotten I had left incidental music from Star Wars playing. There was also a hint of self‐oppression in that Tiffany, who is Jewish, seemed to be using a supposed Jewish gourmet term to instead portray Jews as greedy.
Learned this morning that Abby Stein, whom I’ve known for three years, is transsexual. {…}

(on a Public Domain Super Heroes talk page) I plan on creating an entry for Olive Oyl, a character who first appeared in 1919. For some reason, I feel I should inform you first. …
It’s true that I did not notice the response here until after I’d created the article, but Olive Oyl is nevertheless so heavily associated nowadays with superpowered or fantastic characters like Popeye, Sinbad the Sailor, Aladdin, the Sea Hag, Alice the Goon and Eugene the Jeep that her place here seems warranted. She herself has even been portrayed in at least one animated cartoon as acquiring super strength from eating spinach.
