Veterans Day. Shameful Halloween‐sweet quest in subfreezing temperatures.

37th Ave. (2816–18). Worker carrying box (2816–17). Cyclist (2818).

Northern Blvd. After investigating two other places, I finally found Halloween sweets (caramel/marshmallow, milk‐chocolate/caramel‐apple, caramel‐brownie and peanut‐butter “pumpkins,” “harvest blend” peanut‐butter M & Ms) in W’geens (11:38). They were on a cart near the front door with two different signs on it indicating two different discounts, and as I was picking through them I found two rolls of adhesive tape in two different places, as if the workers who’d been charged with putting up the signs had both left their tape behind. Was that M’nni I noticed walking a dog moments before I passed him?

The 35th Ave. roadwork has made its way eastward to 72nd St. (2819–21).

Lobby renovation (2822–25). Sexy निखिल and wife entering building as I left.

37th Ave. (6519–21). Chicken cordon bleu hero and salsa Turkey sandwich from KLD. Blurry signs, including “Feeling tipsy?” (6519–21). Handsome counter‐worker أحمد can be a little stone‐faced and perhaps sometimes come off as unfriendly, but after I inquired about the extent of the recent renovations, he gave me a mini renovation tour, complete with C. Merrill/V. White gestures. Tiny apple and sweet‐potato pies from F’town (19:13). Hot J’tin questioned my pennies. Investigated cute new Filipino worker Kl’d (100000845006670) in DR. A pretty chubby إشتياق and I greeted one another.

More lobby renovation (2826–27).
