Walk with חנוך on First and Second Ave. etc. Short Q ride with him.

Who was that S. Asian man who greeted me in Roosevelt Ave. sta. and was looking back at me every time I glanced back at him? Was that L’ton?

Posters and boxes on 73rd St. (2157–59).

I was eager for a snack and spent quite a while in DR deciding what I wanted to buy, and I think I saw S— while there, and then went home to fetch my reusable shopping bag but didn’t return.

Went to two supermarkets on 37th Ave. and got into notable conversation with both cashiers.

37th Ave. It was Saturday night and there were throngs of Asians bumping into me. Fresh and hard‐cooked eggs, pre‐cut cheese, meat Bologna and sliced packaged Turkey from F’town (20:23). There were a few attractive fellow customers, none worth noting individually, and I specifically got on R’mon’s cashier line and waited too long. They keep track of customer accounts by telephone number but I was able to hand him the barcode tab on my key ring; the dialogue between us however made it sound like he was asking me out and I was responding by suggesting he move in with me: “Let me give you my …” “Your telephone number? … your keys!” Major renovations in KLD as I passed (2160–63). I went back out to get peanuts at FD (23:53), and cashier Évelyn asked me what my skullcap meant to me. I responded by saying it was part of my culture and considered saying more but then she asked my culture when I thought she might ask where I’d bought it (in Egypt).
