S’sant Town, pt. 2.

37th Ave. Saw sexy سجاد K. crouching and then reaching and saw the hot शाह/شاه worker in between. Hot dogs, Braunschweiger, cheese ends and sour cream from FD. Previously unknown friendly, adorable young worker sweeping the floor became my cashier; he had E. Asian features, darkish skin and something of a flat face.

Strawberries from cashier كمال at ইত্যাদি بازار, ‎73rd St., who felt I handed him my twenty‐dollar note with respect.

More of سبزی ਮੰਡੀ’s transformation into اپنا بازار, ‎37th Ave. and 73rd St. (4926–28).

Met جم in תפארת ישׂראל‎ TV Syn. (6953–63, 4929–33), E. 14th St., and attended service. What few prayers I knew had unfamiliar melodies. Openly gay חזן, and sermon mentioning vulnerable, marginalized groups (à la identity politics), so I thought it was Reform when in fact it was Conservative and I shouldn’t have taken photos. I took the best ones with جم’s camera, and a congregant came over to say it was inappropriate on שבת. Substantial chat with granola רבה who immodestly compared herself to a punk rocker and to יענטל. She kept saying how lovely the upstairs sanctuary was and we wanted to go up and see it, so after we walked a few steps, I asked whoever was closest if anyone would mind if we took a look upstairs. One of the שבת־גויים seemed to be directing us to a doorway with a visible stairwell, and we encountered the other worker thereat who said it was okay to go up since the prior worker had said the same. When we got upstairs though, no one was around, the door to the sanctuary was locked and some of the hallways were dark, so we rather promptly went back downstairs, and some of the congregants seemed to be saying in a friendly way that we probably shouldn’t have gone up thither.

S’sant Town again (4934–38).

Repast with جم at C🌳, St. Marks Pl., talking about, among other things, Prens Adaları, çöp şiş and my 2000 visit to Turkey.
