Sixth day of חנכה.

37th Ave. (3084–85, 6603–24). Flu shot at DR. Asked the longtime Filipino manager when the frozen hamburgers that were an advertised special that week would be in stock, and he told me to return Thursday. Bruson rubbish worker (3084). Cheese ends, discount cottage cheese and a mixed fruit bowl (but no ice cream and no meat) from FD (6603–18). {Fruit, cheese etc., but should I buy the discount ice cream?} There was a cute deli worker there I didn’t recognize (6612–14), and he was on the phone like S’eed had often been. For whatever reason, cashier جميع asked me if I speak Spanish. Bacon, fried egg and American cheese sandwich on a poppy בײגל, and pepper (in the absence of salsa) Turkey and Colby‐Jack sandwich on a sesame בײגל from KLD (6619–24). Same boyish worker with arm tattoos (6619–24) as had been there Wednesday. Their(?) cat came up to me and made nice, so I crouched and pet it with my camera pointed at the action, framing a great shot, but then I saw I’d neglected to press the record button (3085). I returned to DR to use the a.t.m. (10:15).

Wintery tree on 72nd St. (3086–87).

When I returned, the hallway on my floor was crowded with numerous tall stacks of fairly large cardboard boxes, including on either side of my apartment door, and I greeted the man there who may have been the deliveryman. My bandage strip (3088–91).

Beginning of seventh day of חנכה.

37th Ave. (3092–93). Despite having been pleased I had earlier resisted the temptation to buy the discount ice cream, I returned to FD to buy exactly that, along with a Turkey/Swiss sandwich, potato salad and discount sauerkraut (23:39). शाह/شاه Deli before its grand opening (3092–93).
