For the great majority of Jews, the High Holiday period (ימי תשובה‎‎) represents the beginning of a new calendar year. Today is also National Coming Out Day, a good time to commemorate the three alumni from the gay youth group I attended, which had a tremendous impact on my life, who I was stunned to learn all died over the course of this past summer. 💔
