72nd St. and B’way. I waved to a postal worker who waved back and that may have been R’sheda, but in the bright sunlight who can be absolutely sure?

Dental appointment, 41st Ave. In front of the main desk was a smaller desk whereat a woman sat who appreciated my reaction to the loud door and who was on the telephone speaking in a Philippine language. Dr. G. turned me nearly upside down for good access but I found I had virtually no trouble breathing.

37th Ave. Big lunch at KLD (6324–31): bacon, fried egg and Münster cheese sandwich followed by a chicken cutlet (cordon bleu?) hero. I’m glad I ate on the premises despite the annoying fellow customers. I was apparently there at shift change, because the handsome skinny customer finished his lunch and started working behind the counter as the hot worker walked out from behind it and then attempted to tell coworkers of a dream he’d had. R’drigo said goodbye to me after I said it to him as I left F’town after purchasing a mixed fruit bowl and sundae ice cream.

Commentary

– The inherent racism in those signs is pretty evident. If we even accept that the man is actually a Jew and the woman an Arab (because people may have been grabbed for a photo opportunity who fit the narrative of Jews looking white and Arabs looking brown and Muslim), the Jew can get Israeli citizenship not only because he’s a Jew but because there is a Jewish state that exists due to the acceptance by the Jews of Palestine of the terms of the British mandate in 1948. If the Arab woman cannot return to what she calls her “homeland,” it’s not “because I’m NOT Jewish” but because the Arabs of Palestine refused the terms of the mandate in 1948 and instead joined the surrounding countries in going to war with Israel. If she wants to return to a Palestinian Arab country that does not currently exist, perhaps she should advocate for the two‐state solution that the Arabs have been refusing for decades.

It also seems that JVP’s odious actions at the Celebrate Israel parade had the effect they intended, legitimizing the Islamist narrative that Jews are oppressing Arabs. (08:15)
