Trevor James Bathe rode under National Hunt rules in the mid-1980s and had one win.
A conditional jockey with Peter Jones, who trained at Marlborough in Wiltshire, Trevor had his first ride at Lingfield Park on March 15, 1985, when unplaced on Singing Saint in the Eden Conditional Jockeys’ Selling Handicap Hurdle. It was 13-year-old Singing Saint’s first race of the season and also the last of his lengthy career, for he was retired following that run.
Trevor was rewarded with his sole success at Wincanton on October 16, 1986, when the ten-year-old Flight Sheet, the 6/4 favourite, led all the way to land the Standard Business Forms (London) Handicap Chase. It was a race for conditional jockeys, and among those behind him that day were future Grand National-winning heroes Carl Llewellyn and Richard Guest.
It was Flight Street’s second win of the season, the first having been at Stratford in September under regular pilot Charlie Mann. Mann resumed the partnership and won at Taunton six days later, while Trevor had few further opportunities.
Flight Sheet was Trevor Bathe's solitary winner as a jockey
