John Anthony Berwick had two wins on Moison in the 1969/70 season. The seven-year-old was trained by Ben Wise at Polegate and had recorded two victories the previous season when ridden by Andy Turnell.
John’s first win on Moison came in the Wombat Challenge Cup Handicap Hurdle at Newton Abbot on August 13, 1969. This was followed by a three-length success in the Hucaby Handicap Hurdle, also at Newton Abbot on September 1. John kept the ride throughout the season and managed four placed efforts but no further wins.
He rode as a freelance the following season but did not add to his score.
