John Bostin

John William Bostin was apprenticed to Epsom trainer Jack Reardon.

On Saturday, October 18, 1952, while riding Tarvie in the Apprentices Nursery at Sandown, he was thrown from his mount six furlongs from the winning post when Tarvie collided with the rails.

He was rushed to hospital with multiple rib fractures but died later that day. He was 18.
