Roy Carter

Roy Patrick Carter, born 9 April, 1964, was apprenticed to Alec Stewart and rode his first winner, Kyroota, at Yarmouth on August 17, 1983.

Living at 82, Drive Centre, Newmarket, his best season came in 1985 with 15 winners.

He was a renowned young pugilist, winning the Stable Lads' Boxing Championship in 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1983.
