Brother of the ill-fated Patrick (killed in a motorbike accident) Thomas Francis Carey was a NH jockey apprenticed to H Harper at Yorkshire.
He won the 1936 Lancashire Chase on Right 'Un, the 1938 Grand Sefton on Rockquilla and the Stanley Chase twice: 1933 Southern Hue & 1938 Red Prince
Thomas died in America and was buried in Tipperary on August 18, 1971.
He was not related to Thomas H. Carey who was riding at the same time.
