Anthony Cowley
1837 - 1896
Anthony Edward Cowley was born in Exeter in 1837.
He won the 1855 Doncaster Cup on Rataplan.
He also trained Casse Tete to win the 1872 Grand National (below).
His wife, Martha, was born in Wiltshire.
Anthony died on 5 July 1896, aged 60, leaving £41 19s 2d.
