He had 20 rides that first year, winning on 7.
Liam won the Salmon Spray Hurdle and also scored a notable victory at Cheltenham.
He eventually became assistant trainer to David Gandolfo at Lovington in Somerset, taking over when David retired.
Liam sent out his own final runners in 2014.
