Tom Connor Jr.

Jockey Tom Connor was accidentally killed on Friday afternoon, February 28. 1902. Tom, the elder son of trainer Tom Connor, was riding work with his younger brother when he received a kick in the head from a horse.

His funeral took place on Monday, 3 March, at Coverham Church. There was a large company present.

The service was fully choral, the deceased having been a member of the choir.
