Hugh Boyce

Riding in the March First Free Hunters' Steeplechase at Sandown, Captain Hugh Woolcombe Boyce, aged 38, fell from Lady Ada on February 28, 1890, and died of a fractured skull the following day.

Captain of Carabineers, of Greenmount, Southam, near Cheltenham, he lived at 38, Bury Street, St James's.

His personal estate was £10,420.

Faker, his chestnut gelding, sold by order of his executors, went for 73 guineas.
