Josiah Arnold

Josiah Arnold was born in Stockport circa 1834 and recorded his biggest wins in the  1849 Cambridgeshire on Raby and the 1850 Ebor Handicap on Mark Tapley, both trained by Tom Dawson, and the 1851 Doncaster Cup on The Ban for trainer Alec Taylor Senior. 

After retiring from the saddle, Josiah ran the Turf Hotel at Doncaster, where he died on July 12, 1883. He left £781.
