3rd Grade News
Dear Parents,
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our mystery readers for generously dedicating their time to join us at school and enrich the reading experiences of our third graders. These cherished moments contribute significantly to the fabric of their school memories. Thank you!
Furthermore, we are excited to announce the upcoming Literacy and Content Celebration, where our third graders will showcase their learning and accomplishments in the weeks ahead. This celebration promises to be a culmination of their efforts throughout the year. We invite your collaboration and support as students select the means through which they will share their news with their audience. The choices are:
News Article
Video
Brochure
Informational Book
Speech
Poster
Trifold
Model
For content, once the students have decided on a culture, they can start thinking about what materials they might need to bring to school. For example, if you choose Japan, you might want to bring in some pictures or artifacts related to Japanese culture to help illustrate your presentation. If you have learned a song you may sing it to the class. Other activities could be: bringing/teaching a traditional game from your country of study, greetings, dance, or sharing their beliefs. The students will also bring a breakfast/dish or snack representing the country to share a small portion of it with their classmates.
