Our Readers will finish our fantastic Fiction Unit and they will celebrate this work by brain- storming some favorite class books, and then invite kids to make a shelfie of the books that have mattered to each of them so far this year. During Math ....... 2A will have swimming class until April 5th. Please find below our next week's learning focus.

Learning Goal
In this unit, students learn that encountering problems, including conflict with others, is a normal part of the human experience. As they learn to resolve problems and conflicts in an intentional way, students deepen their understanding of themselves and others. Lessons focus on considering multiple perspectives and practicing empathy when learning during conflict. Through a four-step problem solving process, students learn the importance of getting input from others when resolving problems and working together to build healthy relationships.
What friends and learners are doing at school...
Friends and learners will choose one of these goals and will draw what it looks like when they achieve the goal.
“I will try to look at another person’s side of things,” or “I will work to figure out a way to solve a problem,” or “I will work with other people even when we don’t agree on things.”
What friends and learners could be practicing at home...
Think about another time that you had to communicate in a group. What made it go well?
You can use the Teamwork skills chart to have better communication.
