What tigers could be doing at home...
SCIENCE Have your scientist think about: How do sound and light move? How can we communicate with each other using sound and light
Social Emotional Learning Program
Learning Goal
This unit is “Communicating With Each Other.” We will talk about what it means to communicate and why communicating is important. We communicate when we express our ideas clearly and pay attention to each other’s emotions, thoughts, and actions. Clear communication helps us play, work, think, and grow together. Let’s take a look at how people communicate.
What friends and learners are doing at school...
Explain to students that they will work in groups to brainstorm ideas about how people communicate, or send messages, using different parts of their bodies. Then, we practiced comunication and counselor provide feedback.
What friends and learners could be practicing at home...
Have students play “emotion charades.” Tell each actor which emotion to portray, such as excitement, sadness, or worry, and then have them act out the emotion using body language only. The student audience can guess the emotion based on the body language clues given by the action.
