Writers use checliskts to get ready to draft. Specifically when flash-drafting a liteary essay, it helps to rehearse in the air with the qualities of good essay writing in mind. Writers will also study small, specific details or the parts that feel odd or important to grow big ideas and interpretations. 

Los lectores de clubes de lectura:

• Se fijan la meta de mejorar en lectura y trabajan deliberadamente hacia esas metas u objetivos que se han fijado.

• Determinan cuáles son algunas de las cualidades de buenos escritos sobre lectura.

• Leen de manera distinta cuando escriben acerca de lo que han leído: ven más cosas, se dan cuenta de más cosas, y piensan más . . .

• Deciden por una idea acerca de un texto que vale la pena desarrollar, ellos piensan, ¿Dónde vive esta idea en el texto?, releen esos pasajes de la lectura que han seleccionado con mucha detención y nuevas ideas relacionadas con su idea o pensamiento inicial.

When you began this unit, you read about the Animals of Conflict and thought about whether your approach to conflict was like the Turtle’s, the Owl’s, or the Shark’s. Now that you have learned more about approaches to conflict resolution, has your approach changed? Explain.
