1st Grade News

Dear Families of First Grade,

The excitement for showcasing our writers boxed sets is contagious, they will not only showcase their work, but make emphasis on the tiger trait that their characters portray. We begin this new week by introducing our last Readers Workshop of the year Learning about the World. In our Science unit our engineers will redesign items that help during the rainy season. In math our students will find unknown numbers in a path full of pinecones and pebbles, keeping in mind that each of these represent a certain number of steps.

Looking forward to another powerful week of learning.

Thank you for your continued support.

Friends and learners need communication skills to collaborate and work together. Cooperation is shown when kids listen to one another’s ideas, share, and help one another and when students promote fairness in playing and working together. Learners will learn how and why teamwork is important as they cooperate to challenges, recognizing they can do things together that they can’t do alone.
