Social Emotional Learning Program

Learning Goal

We will explore what it means to be our best selves. We are our best selves when we understand our emotions, what causes them, and how they influence how we act or behave

What friends and learners are doing at school..

Friends and learners will create a name and motto, or special saying, for the class. Each group will be given a list of names and mottos as idea starters. Discuss and choose one name and motto, then choose a spokesperson who will explain your thinking. After we hear from each group, we will vote on a class name and motto.

What friends and learners could be practicing at home...

Reflect on the following:

Why is it important that everyone in the class be involved in making this decision? How might this affect the way we treat each other?
