Our Fiction readers will continue stepping into a new world of stories. They will learn that it’s important, not only to react to what’s happening in the story, but also to notice those reactions. They will create reading scrapbooks in which they keep track of favorite books, characters, and reading plans.

What readers & writers are doing at school...

English Literacy: Readers will learn that they can make reading scrapbooks to keep track of their reading lives. They’ll start by spending the first half of work time beginning their own reading scrapbooks at their tables. Students can add their favorite genre, favorite books they’ve read, characters that excite them, and even books

What readers & writers could be doing at home...

English Literacy: Students will need:

1. sticky notes to mark reactions.

2. to bring a book where they’ve marked a part that gave

them a strong reaction to the share. 3. Step into the world of the story chart. Envisioning emotion reactions chart
