Dear families,
We all hope you have a restful Spring Break and be back with the batteries fully charged for our last shift of this school year!
Our researchers are preparing for their upcoming panel on April 14th. They are continuing to gather and analyze evidence to support and defend their claims.
We strongly encourage them to practice presenting their research at home, focusing on explaining their ideas clearly to an audience rather than simply reading from their notes.
Learning Goal
Prepare for the Pannel
Historians will be preparing themselves for The American Revolution Panel. They have been working on their research and their presentations to teach others about their topics.
Learning Goal
Learning Goal
“Revisiting Area & Perimeter - Module 2
Students will focus on the role that division plays in area and perimeter problems. Students will be tasked with the unknown dimension in problems where they know the area and one dimension. They will then build on their knowledge and spend two more sessions finding the unknown dimension in problems where they know the perimeter and one dimension. They are going to discuss strategies for solving both types of problems during math forums, and use these strategies when playing Area or Perimeter.
Learning Goal
Fourth graders will present their big books, showcasing their understanding of industrialization. They will explain their perspectives on the different factors that drive change and how these changes shape the present and future. This presentation will also support the development of their communication and critical thinking skills.
Learning Goal
We will learn to avoid Put-Down statements and to use Clear-It-Up Statements to help solve conflicts is important because everyone’s perspective, thoughts, and emotions are heard. Clear-It-Up Statements help us think of potential solutions to the conflict.
.
Avoid using blaming words or Put-Down statements when discussing a conflict.
Communicate kindly when discussing the conflict and offering potential solutions.
Listen to others express their ideas about what the conflict is and how to solve it
Think about a recent conflict. How might you have handled things differently now that you know more about Clear-It-Up Statements?
